Jarvisburg Christian Academy
JCA has a tuition and fee structure that incorporates financial aid whenever possible. Our standard tuition and fees are $4299 yearly for students at all grade levels. However, students who have active I.E.Ps (Individual Education Plans created through the Exceptional Children's Program of the Public School District serving their place of residence) are charged a different rate - $8,000 per year. Many families use North Carolina tuition grant funding to cover or defray their tuition and fee expenses. (These grants are explained in further detail below.) Families of students who do NOT participate in grant programs pay $429.90 for 10 monthly installments, August through May. This price covers all tuition, curriculum fees, and field trip expenses.
The grants which help defray the costs of tuition at private schools are generally available for students who are age 5 by August 31st each year, so they cover Kindergarten through 12th grade. The Opportunity Scholarship grants are dependent upon household income, and the Children with Disability grants are dependent upon a qualifying I.E.P as mentioned above. In addition, some Pre-K assistance may be available from the local Department of Social Services for families who work full time and meet household income guidelines. More information about the Opportunity Scholarships as well as the Children with Disability grants is available at www.ncseaa.edu. Please select "K-12 Grants" and then choose a funding program to explore. There is also a new funding program known as "Education Savings Accounts" for students with qualifying I.E.Ps and you will see it on the website as well. Each of these programs has a link that allows a family to set up an account and apply for the grants.
We would be happy to assist you with grant applications! Please contact the school at 252-491-8283 for additional information.
